The world is not the same for all human beings. There are some whose basic needs are taken care of and there are others who are at the margins, deprived, neglected and left-behind. Thankfully, there are some who believe that it’s their calling to help those left-behind to live a life of dignity. They exert selflessly to create an environment where living a better life becomes easier. This belief is the underpinning of Ashok Sawhney Foundation.

Ashok Sawhney and family donated land measuring approximately 3000 square meters and invested their wealth to create a facility for the neglected and abandoned senior citizens by providing them a home and care in a quiet, calm, pollution free peaceful, environment. Over the years Suman Sawhney Health Care Centre and a Multi-Skill Training Centre have been added.

Ashok Sawhney Foundation is a social initiative to make available dignified living for the uncared elderly in a welcoming and sensitive environment, provide affordable healthcare and wellness to the left-behind and empower youth by providing vocational training enabling them to get jobs.

Ashok Sawhney Foundation works directly or with partner Self Help Groups (SHG), NGOs, private and government agencies to empower youth by making them employable and economically independent, improve public health, wellness and service to the seniors as well as inspire civic engagement.

The Foundation directs its efforts towards creating a just, equitable and sustainable society. It focuses on projects which can transform lives of the poorest, neglected and the most vulnerable sections of the society.

Its programs are designed to make a real difference today while serving as proven models for tomorrow.

Association with partners is fashioned to urge scaling up, expanding reach and experimenting with innovative methodologies so that society can be better served.

Foundation firmly believes, once diverse groups bring resources together in the spirit of true cooperation, transformative ideas emerge to drive life-changing successes.

Ashok Sawhney Foundation is a Charitable Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 read with Indian Registration Act, 1908. It is a Not-for-Profit Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) registered with the NGO Partnership system of Niti Aayog, Govt. of India. The donations to the trust are exempt under section 80G of Income Tax Act. The Foundation is registered with Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India for undertaking CSR activities.
